Tarter Sauce

Every now and then I get a hankering (yes, that's what it is- a "hankering"!) for fish sticks. I found some natural ones at Costco, which I was really happy to find! I love tarter sauce with it- so here's what I do:

Tarter Sauce
1 c. Mayonnaise
1 large dill pickle, finely diced
1 tsp. lemon juice
sprinkle of garlic
Mix thoroughly and serve.

I tend to play a little with the lemon juice and garlic till I get the flavor I want- sometimes I add some pickle juice as well.

Thank you. Now I have a hankering for some fish sticks and tartar sauce. Luckily my wonderful husband just caught a 198lb Halibut. Any good beer batter reciipes? Or really any breaded or batter recipes.

Sorry Becky, I don't! I rarely deep fry anything- I did make a batter for apples once and they were really tasty, but I didn't write anything down and now have no idea what I did. We don't get alot of fish... :-( We should change that.

If you ever come to WA for a visit I'll send you home with halibut, salmon, and clams. :) I'll keep looking for a batter recipe and let you know if I find a good one. It would be cool to find a breaded recipe you can bake instead of fry.
Thank you!
