When I was 16 I was staying with a family in Oklahoma and the lady was teaching childbirth classes. I was able to sit in on them and knew from that point on that God wanted me to work with women during pregnancy and childbirth. Now I serve women as a doula and very much love working with them.
I love cooking and baking. Or... is it food in general...? I'll have to think about that one! I always swore I wouldn't blog. I didn't have "time" to read blogs, I certainly didn't have time to write one! But somehow I got the idea of posting recipes- which has been wonderful, because now I have my recipe book where ever I go!! And now I do read alot of blogs...One of my favorite verses is Colossians 3:23 "And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men," "Whatever you do"- that means everything, cooking, cleaning, etc. So, serving my family is a high calling, after all- God is wanting me to do it, to please Him. I try to remember this when I'm cleaning the toilet, but I often forget!
